In the centre of San Cassiano, just a few steps away from the numerous hiking routes and only a ten-minute walk from the cable car of Piz Sorega – the location of the Travenanzes Hotel will let you enjoy a holiday rich in emotions and activities. Thanks to the central position, just a few metres away from the refined parish church of San Cassiano, you’ll be able to soak up the cultural life of the village, with feasts and processions, local produce markets and a series of exciting events, including, for example, a picturesque Christmas market (Paîsc da Nadè), ski shows such as “Ski goes downtown”, summer festivals (Paîsc in Festa) and the Candlelight Summer Evening. In the immediate proximity you will also find the Ladin Museum Ursus Ladinicus, dedicated to the local geological history. The slopes above our Hotel are the outskirts of the Nature Park Fanes-Sennes-Prags, that can be discovered along various hiking routes (or by snowshoeing and ski touring in winter). It’s right there, on the Fanes Plateau, that you can find one of the most charming and untouched places, the Travenanzes Valley, which has inspired our hotel’s name. In the surroundings of our guest house you can also enjoy some themed trails, such as the Artists’ Trail and the Larch Trail. And in winter the cable car of Piz Sorega will open you the door into the universe of Dolomiti Superski. With such a choice, you won’t certainly lack anything for a great mountain holiday!
To reach us, you can choose the southern route across the Falzarego Pass and the Campolongo Pass, the western route across Val Gardena and the Gardena Pass or northern route across the Pusteria Valley without crossing any mountain passes (exit towards the State Road of the Badia Valley at St Lorenzen, next to Bruneck). As soon as you arrive at San Cassiano, follow the signs for the village centre and don’t let the road sign of a restricted traffic area stop you – the guests of Travenanzes are free to enter and exit from the central zone at any time.
